The brand was founded in 2020 by Tawnya Fornerod, a licensed esthetician with almost 25 years of waxing who owns multiple studios, and every product here has been used on real clients in her own studios before it ever went on sale. They sell because they work together. Smooth Operator uses three acids to clear the follicle after waxing, sugaring, or shaving, and Truth Serum does the same job acid free, which makes it the serum we recommend for sensitive skin and during pregnancy and nursing. For sensitive skin and during pregnancy and nursing, we recommend Truth Serum, Nourishing Oils, Simply Pure Body Wash, and Sugar Body Scrub, which together make a complete, gentle aftercare routine. Truth Serum is acid free and built on botanicals, while Smooth Operator contains salicylic acid, so swap it for Truth Serum during pregnancy and nursing or if you have an aspirin allergy. If you have specific concerns, please check with your doctor.
Do brow and lash conditioning oils really make a difference?
Yes, brow and lash conditioning oils are the products our lash lift and brow lamination clients reorder most. Brow Conditioning Oil keeps brows soft and conditioned after a lamination and is lovely for daily use, while Lash Conditioning Oil does the same for lashes after a lift, and both are made in small batches in Southern Oregon.
