About Bodycare

Gentle body wash, body scrubs, and exfoliating tools for smooth skin between waxes

Just The Strip Simply Pure Body Wash for freshly waxed skin

Bodycare is the everyday half of waxing aftercare: a gentle, pH balanced body wash to cleanse freshly waxed and intimate skin, plus body scrubs and exfoliating tools that clear away the dead skin that traps hairs, so skin stays smooth and ingrown hairs are less likely between appointments. Every product here was chosen by Tawnya Fornerod, a licensed esthetician with almost 25 years in the beauty industry who owns multiple waxing studios, for anyone who waxes, sugars, or shaves.

Simply Pure Body Wash is pH balanced, fragrance free, and sulfate free, gentle enough for the face, body, and intimate skin right after a wax, and it is made for us in the USA by a manufacturing partner. Our Sugar Body Scrub buffs away dry, flaky skin with fine sugar and softening plant oils, the Silicone Cactus Bikini and Body Scrubber reaches the bikini line and underarms and rinses clean, and Exfoliating Gloves turn any shower into an exfoliating one. Wipe It Good Personal Wipes are made with just water, aloe, and glycerin for a quick, fragrance free refresh before your appointment or on the go. The Polisher, our exfoliating body polish, is being reformulated and will be back soon.

Wait 24 to 48 hours after your wax before you scrub or exfoliate, then exfoliate two or three times a week until your next appointment. After every shower, follow with Smooth Operator or Truth Serum and a few drops of Nourishing Oil, the full routine in our Waxing Aftercare Products collection. Licensed professionals can buy these products in PRO 3 packs at half of retail in For the Pros Only, with no application and no login.

What body wash should I use after a Brazilian wax?

Use a gentle, pH balanced, fragrance free body wash after a Brazilian, because scented and high pH soaps sting freshly waxed skin and dry it out. Simply Pure Body Wash was made for exactly this: it is sulfate free and fragrance free, gentle enough for the bikini line and external intimate skin, and made for us in the USA by a manufacturing partner. Use it at your first shower after your wax and every day between appointments, then apply your serum and oil.

Scrub or chemical exfoliant: which is better for ingrown hairs?

You get the best results from both, used in different ways. A daily ingrown hair serum does the chemical work inside the follicle, while a sugar scrub, exfoliating glove, or silicone scrubber two or three times a week clears dead skin from the surface. Start the scrub 24 to 48 hours after your wax, and go gently on any area where your skin feels irritated.

Can I use a sugar scrub on my bikini area?

Yes, a sugar scrub is gentle enough for the bikini line once your skin has settled, so wait 24 to 48 hours after waxing and then use it two or three times a week. Massage lightly over damp skin, rinse well, and keep the scrub on the outer bikini area rather than intimate skin. Our Sugar Body Scrubs contain coconut oil, so skip them if you have a coconut allergy.

How often should I exfoliate between waxes?

Two or three times a week is the right rhythm for most skin, starting 24 to 48 hours after your wax and continuing until your next appointment. Sugar Body Scrub, Exfoliating Gloves and the Silicone Cactus Bikini Scrubber all work best on that schedule. If your skin looks red or feels tender, give it a day off and let your serum and oil do the work.

Is a silicone scrubber better than a loofah?

A silicone scrubber is the cleaner choice, because silicone rinses clean and dries quickly, while a loofah stays damp and can hold on to bacteria between showers. Our Silicone Cactus Bikini Scrubber has soft bristles that lift dead skin without scratching, so it is gentle enough for the bikini line, and you can wash it with soap and water whenever you like.

Can I use Simply Pure Body Wash on my whole body?

Yes, Simply Pure Body Wash is made for your whole body, from freshly waxed and intimate skin to everyday showers. It is pH balanced, fragrance free, and made with aloe, so it cleanses without stripping, and many clients keep it as their only body wash once they try it.
