Why a silicone scrubber beats a loofah

If you get ingrown hairs or rough patches between waxes, gentle exfoliation a few times a week makes a real difference. The Silicone Cactus Scrubber does it with the body wash you already use, and because it is silicone, it rinses clean and dries quickly instead of staying damp like a loofah. It was chosen by Tawnya Fornerod, a licensed esthetician with almost 25 years in the beauty industry.

How to use and care for your scrubber

Wet it, add a little body wash or sugar scrub, and massage in gentle circles, starting 24 to 48 hours after your wax. Rinse it well after each use and let it air dry. Because it is silicone, it rinses clean and dries quickly, and you can wash it with warm, soapy water whenever you like.

Ingrown hairs often form when dead skin builds up over the follicle and the hair curls back under it. Using the scrubber a few times a week clears that buildup so hair can grow through the surface, which helps prevent ingrown hairs between waxes.

Choose the small scrubber for targeted areas like the bikini line, underarms, and face, and the large scrubber for full body exfoliation. Many people keep one of each.

For most people, yes. Silicone rinses clean and dries quickly, while a loofah or sponge stays damp and can hold onto bacteria between uses. It also lathers body wash well and lasts much longer.

Wait 24 to 48 hours after waxing or sugaring, then use it a few times a week until your next appointment. Freshly waxed skin needs a day or two to settle first.

Yes. The soft silicone bristles are gentle, and the small size is made for targeted areas like the bikini line. Use light pressure, and skip any skin that is broken or irritated.

Rinse it well after each use and let it air dry. Every so often, wash it with warm, soapy water.

The small scrubber comes in pink or turquoise, and the large scrubber is a two tone turquoise and pink.
