No need to ask, it is the Smooth Operator for ingrown hair. This is the ingrown hair serum Just The Strip was built on, the first product we made and still the one our customers reorder the most. It goes on right after waxing, sugaring, or shaving, when the follicle is open and most likely to trap a hair, and it keeps working between appointments to help prevent ingrown hairs and razor bumps on the bikini line, the bikini area after a Brazilian wax, the underarms, the legs, and the beard and neck.
What makes it different is that it does not rely on one acid. Salicylic acid reaches down into the follicle to clear it out, while glycolic and lactic acids smooth the surface of the skin so hair can grow through cleanly. Camphor, glycerin, and vitamin E calm and hydrate at the same time, which is why it is gentle enough to apply the moment your service is finished.
Choose the 100 ml roll on in our regular scent, a clean herbal scent that fades in minutes, the 50 ml roll on in Dreamsicle, our orange vanilla favorite, the 100 ml glass pump bottle for those who prefer to apply by hand, or the pads for travel and gym bags. It is made for anyone who removes hair, men and women, on the face and body, from the bikini line and a full Brazilian to underarms, legs, and the beard after shaving, and it is the first step in our three step routine, followed by a few drops of Nourishing Oil.
Smooth Operator was created by a licensed esthetician with almost 25 years of waxing behind her, and it is made for us by a trusted manufacturing partner to our formula. It contains salicylic acid, so please choose Truth Serum, our acid free serum, if you are pregnant or nursing or have an aspirin allergy.
Pairs well with
Smooth Operator does its best work as part of a routine. Start in the shower with Simply Pure Body Wash, our pH balanced, fragrance free wash that cleanses freshly waxed and intimate skin without stripping it. Apply Smooth Operator, let it dry, then finish with a few drops of Nourishing Oil to hydrate and seal, in Plain Jane, our nut free oil with no added fragrance and a touch of tea tree and copaiba, or in Dreamsicle to match your serum. Smooth Operator goes on every day, and two or three times a week, starting 24 to 48 hours after your service, one of our Sugar Body Scrubs keeps dead skin from building up over the follicle so the serum can keep it clear. Wash, treat, hydrate, and a gentle scrub between appointments is the whole routine, and it takes about a minute.
How to use
Apply a thin layer to clean skin immediately after waxing, sugaring, or shaving, and then once daily between appointments. Let it dry fully before dressing. Follow with Nourishing Oil to hydrate. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Skip other chemical exfoliants and abrasive scrubs on the same area while using it.

I was a little hesitant on getting the dreamcicle scent because sometimes it’s a little sweet for my liking but this is just devine! Just enough scent to smell good without being overpowering. The roller ball glides on super easy without using too much extra product and doesn’t feel slimy like some serums do.
